curly nomad
Γειά! Hello! Hola! Hej! Salut! Привет! Namaste! Salaam! Konnichiwa! Chào bạn!
Selamat pagi! Sà-wàt-dee!
I’m Natassa Mitsika – friends call me Nat – and I come from Greece. I live in Athens, however I consider the whole world to be my home! I am a “roamer, wanderer, nomad, vagabond … call me what you will” (and a music lover, obviously) I travel a lot and collect moments, smiles, emotions, images, smells and tastes from the places I visit all around our amazing planet. I make friends from the East to the West and I try to have all sorts of adventures! Wandering is for me the best way to make dreams come true!
I am not a writer, author or travel blogger. This page is just my “treasure box” containing precious memories from my wandering around the world, and waiting to be filled with many new ones!
Please keep in mind, as you “travel” on this page with me, that this site is not a travel guide. Texts, captions and all posted material depict my own feelings, preferences, views and opinions while travelling. I am always willing to answer questions and of course I will be happy to talk with you about your travelling adventures!
Enjoy the ride!

Picnic above the Chele La pass | Βhutan, the land of the Thunder Dragon
3.988 meters a.s.l, the highest road pass in the country, with stunning views of the Himalayan mountain range, especially the magnificent Jomolhari – “Mountain of the Goddess” (alt. 7.329 m), Bhutan´s most sacred peak. The scenic winding road passes through thick dense forests, both of pine and rhododendron, isolated villages and lush green valleys. The area surrounding the mountain pass is filled with spectacular hiking paths. It is a ravishing experience, standing at the top of the world, strolling through a forest of prayer flags dancing enchantingly with the winds.
Above the Sea of Sand, mount Bromo | East Java, Indonesia |
Bromo at 2.392 m. is an active volcano, located in the Sandsea caldera, a part of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Many legends accompany its stunning beauty. Once a year, during the Yadnya Kasada festival, worshippers hike through the sea of sand and climb all the way to the top of the mountain, praising the gods by praying and throwing their offerings into the crater. From a vantage point, at 2.770 m. on top of mount Penanjakan, one can enjoy magnificent vistas of the almost alien landscape. It is almost a ritual, departing long before dawn to hike all the way to the mountain and enjoy its magnificent sunrise.
